Industrial CAD Designer

At Stewart Glass you will work in a state-of-the-art glass factory, collaborating with a highly skilled team in a hands-on environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient designer in AutoCAD and Creo (CAD) Designer to join our growing team.  

The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation for our custom glass manufacturing operations, including components used in solar panel production. This role requires expertise in Creo software, strong mechanical design knowledge, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure quality and manufacturability.

Primary Duties:

  • Create 3D models and 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD & Creo
  • Modify and update existing designs based on engineering changes and production needs
  • Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and quality assurance to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation including BOMs and design revisions
  • Proficiency in interpreting and creating engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation
  • Manage CAD files and data in an organized, accessible format
  • Contribute quality enhancements to workflows and design

Qualifications Required/Desired:

  • 2+ years of experience drafting using AutoCAD, Creo, or similar parametric 3D software
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in drafting and computer-aided design (CAD) in electrical, manufacturing, or mechanical technology (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing principles
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with fabrication processes involving glass, metal, or similar matericals (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
